The next morning I woke up in a daze, for a moment wondering where I was and what had happened, still confused. My thoughts went back to the night before. I cursed myself. I was cursed. I've let happiness slip through my fingers. My life is ruined. I'll never love anyone, ever. I'd only known Regan about an hour, perhaps less. The time I'd spent with her was fleeting, but eternal – as if I'd known her all my life. We belong together, soulmates, tied by destiny. I'm incomplete without her.  |
