Amazon uses their market dominance to force authors to sell exclusively through KDP Select. All other retailers pay authors about 60 - 70% but Amazon only pays authors 35% unless they sign exclusively. This is totally unfair. Also, they only pay out when an author has accumulated $100 or £100 or whatever their policy is in a certain currency. Other retailers pay monthly at least via Paypal. Holding the monies of millions of small authors nets millions of dollars for Amazon, which I'm sure they invest, making even more money. I'm not an American so I can't ask a congressman/woman to help and I certainly can't take Amazon to court.
I've written to Jeff Bezos, but only today, so I have of course not had an answer.
Amazon has, I think, about 85% of the market on ebooks, so as small self-publishing authors, most of whom earn very small amounts, if at all, are, I believe being taken advantage of.
I'd like your views on the subject.

And remember to be careful in April on Friday the 13th. Read the story in my book 'Just for Fun' available as an e-book for just $3.99 and in print from CreateSpace (an Amazon company) for $7.99.
